Lost in Chamonix

I was in Chamonix to shoot a wedding for some friends of mine just after my own honeymoon so I was a little tired…

To cut a long story short I went for a walk the day before. I rambled about and managed to get lost passing a hospital on a back road and arriving at a Pharmacy in the middle of nowhere. They laughed at me when I asked about getting a Taxi. The easiest way to navigate around Chamonix is to follow the mountains on either side so my day consisted of walking for a few miles one way and then walking back on a slightly different track before giving up and hitching a lift back to the Hotel. It was lots of fun actually. These are the photos I made after 19 days away from home, 11 beds and one volcanic eruption:
